The VAT4U SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) server is a tool designed to help you store and manage expense documents and scans related to your batch expense imports. By using the VAT4U SFTP server, you can securely upload data and documents, making them readily
accessible for download or import.

Why Use the VAT4U SFTP Server?

Secure Document Storage: The SFTP server provides a secure environment for
storing your sensitive expense documents. With encrypted file transfers, your data
remains protected during transit.

Efficient Data Management: By linking your uploaded documents to batch expense
imports, you simplify your workflow. You can easily reference these documents in your
CSV files, ensuring that all related information is organized and accessible.

Convenient Access: Once your documents are uploaded, they are available for quick
download or import within the Batch Data Imports module. This saves you time and
reduces the complexity of managing multiple files across different platforms.

How to Use the VAT4U SFTP Server

Activate the SFTP Server: Click the "Activate VAT4U SFTP Server" button in your VAT4U interface. This will enable your access to the server.

Upload Documents:

  • Use the provided interface or any SFTP-supported client to connect to the VAT4U SFTP server.
  • Upload your expense documents and scans by following the prompts in your chosen SFTP client.

Reference Documents in CSV:

  • When preparing your CSV files for batch expense imports, reference the documents you uploaded by including their file paths in the appropriate fields.
  • This links your documents to the respective expenses, facilitating smoother processing.

Import Data: After uploading your documents and preparing your CSV, you can import the data via Mass Data Imports, ensuring that all expense documentation is accurately captured and processed.
